October 2022– This month on SoundCheck we have the artist We.iLL (@willfoundnirvana). Originally from St. Louis, he moved to Arizona where he was able to link with Stewie Racks (@steward_terintino) creating HEFERecords. The pair dropped a mixtape in 2020, “1500 Miles'' explaining their journey rapping over laid back mellow beats. Each track on the mixtape allows for both artists to shine in their own style.  A notable song “2 Youngins from the Lou” (prod Yung $wisher), explains their experience freshly moving to Arizona, while reppin the Lou on their back. Another key song, “How We Coming” (prod. Yung $wisher) allows the dynamic pair to express something everyone can relate too, the epic desire to hustle in the hopes of a better future for family and friends. 

We.iLL currently resides in KC seeking to collaborate with other producers and artists from the city. His inspirations range from alternative artists like Paramore and Grateful Dead to Pac and Isaiah Rashaad, which can be heard in his single “One Way” (prod. By Young $wisher).
